Listen to a reading by KD of Tulsidas’ Last Poem

“People don’t know – every line of the Hanuman Chalisa is a maha mantra”
~ Neem Karoli Baba

Here is a short reading by Krishna Das of Tulsidas’ Last Poem recorded recently at Kripalu Center, MA. Tulsidas was a poet saint and composer of the deeply devotional Hanuman Chalisa and Ramcharitmanas.

This poem appears in the liner notes of KD’s album One Track Heart. Lyrics for all tracks as well as ‘Hanuman Chaleesa’ are available here.

Tulsidas’ Last Poem

I speak to Hanuman
Thus I speak to King Ram, the perfect, gentle one…

I speak to Shiva Himself, the ocean of grace.
Beware! And listen all!

Of joy and sorrow, love and anger, of virtue and vice
has the creator made all.
Of time and nature and fate,
Ram is the doer.
So I have known this Truth
having dwelt upon it in my heart.
Ah Lord, only quench this moping and grieving.
What is there that You can’t do?

Let me grow silent
having known
that I reap what I have sown.

I am delighted, for the first time to hear you mention the word ‘Creator’.
In the Rig Vedas, the Almighty Creator’s name is mentioned 1000’s of times & He was solely worshiped during the Vedic Age. His name is ‘YAHVAH’.
The Creator created gods, lords, vasus, devas etc. The word god is only a title. Unless a name is mentioned one really does not know who is referred to. Gods are the invisible finer forces which I teach for free, in the UK.
It is by invoking them we obtain perfect health including sight with the ultimate aim of perfecting our Spirit so that we do not die, nor age, but have Eternal Life in Perfect Health. This is crucial particularly in these end hours.
    Peace, Shanti!

I grow silent listening to this powerful poem…
Humbly surrender to the truth that lives in my heart..
The most powerful moments leaves are empty of interpretation…
“Laya sajivana lakhana …..11 verse of Chalisa
We are on the path of healing our hearts….
No place for photo here , more natural for me to express …,
Love never dies..,, it grows stronger..
