In honor of Zen Master Bernie Glassman

A note from KD ❤️
“Many of Bernie’s students from around the world gathered to remember and honor him.  His love and compassion and his spiritual, humanity based social action programs were discussed and many of us shared our memories of his kindness and love and life changing support. He is present and living in the love of our hearts.”

Kirtan Wallah Foundation will soon release KD’s meditative ‘Hungry Hearts’ chant, which he created as Bernie Glassman had requested many years ago.

If you would like to take a look a video of KD singing with Bernie, here is a recording from May 2010. Montague, Massachusetts – Krishna Das and Roshi Bernie Glassman talk a little (and sing) about this rendition of a portion of a Buddhist prayer Gates of Sweet Nectar and the Hanuman Chalisa, and how it came together.
Full studio recordings of this melody are available on Krishna Das’ Door of Faith and Flow of Grace CDs on krishnadas.com.

Here are some photos from a recent event honoring the life and work of Bernie Glassman. Jeff Bridges was also in attendance. Jeff and Bernie co-authored a book called “The Dude and The Zen Master.”
