Deep Gratitude For 2017- Year End Update

Our deepest gratitude for your donations to the Kirtan Wallah Foundation in 2017.

Krishna Das has said that donations are like streams, flowing into the great river of compassion that carries us to the ocean of Love.

This has been another beautiful year of creating and sharing with our community. Fueled by your generosity and connection to our intention to “Love Everyone. Serve Everyone. Remember God.” (Neem Karoli Baba)

Here are some of the projects you have supported this year:

New Krishna Das Album for Special Needs

KWF funded a special recording of slow, steady chants to meet the needs of those who may find chants that don’t speed up a more soothing experience.

This special project was originally born out of a request from a yoga teacher who works with children on the Autism Spectrum. She found playing Krishna Das’ music for the children to be so helpful, but noticed that when the pace sped up, some children were moved out of balance, physically and emotionally. She longed for some chants that would help these children.

Chai’n’Chat

Getting ready to film our 3rd season in a couple of weeks! Our free YouTube series, Chai’n’Chat,  has been a great joy. During our second season, our community brought questions about pain, suffering, coping with illness and addiction, staying connected, keeping faith and more.

If you haven‘t seen it yet, check it out on KD’s Official YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/krishnadasmusic

Free Gifts

Making these teachings accessible is Kirtan Wallah Foundation’s mission, so in addition to free content on YouTube, we continue to offer free gifts on krishnadas.com, such as mp3 downloads, written transcriptions, and video workshops.

Live Streams

Our live streams have continued to be an amazing way to share this practice with people all over the world. Recently on Facebook Live, over 62K people viewed Krishna Das’ kirtan in NYC!

Online Satsangs

Because not everyone can attend a workshop with Krishna Das, due to financial constraints or because they live too far away, we continue to offer Online

Satsangs, whenever possible. They are a low cost, creating a way to ask Krishna Das questions live and listen to his stories, insights, practical advice, book and teacher recommendations, and of course a little chanting. Once registered participants can view the session at a later date, if they can’t make it live.  Hundreds of people have joined us from over 16 countries around the globe.

Benefits & Donations

Your donations in 2017 have also allowed Krishna Das to participate in a number of benefit events and make donations to organizations doing inspiring work in line with Neem Karoli Baba’s teachings: “Love Everyone. Serve Everyone. Remember God.” We donated to, and helped raise funds for the following organizations: Seva Foundation, Pundarika Foundation, Tsyokni Nepal Nuns, Living and Dying Project, Ganga Prem Hospice, Shedrub Fund, Tibetan Home of Hope,Ali Akbhar College of Music, Love Serve Remember Foundation, Zen Peacemaker, Sol Collective, Food Bank for NYC, City Harvest, City Meals on Wheels, Maui Food Bank, and World Central Kitchen.

Coming in 2018

We’ve been hard at work creating Krishna Das’ Call and Response Podcast, coming to you very soon! We’re continuing with our Ask KD video series, to be released exclusively on KWF’s new Facebook page. And keep an eye out for Krishna Das’ upcoming album for those with special needs, or in search of a slow and steady practice.

It is your heart that has brought all of this to life. With another year beginning we look forward to connecting with you and sharing these teachings to all who seek them.

With gratitude,
Kirtan Wallah Foundation
