The Wisdom of Devotion and Love Retreat with Robert AF Thurman and Krishna Das

We will explore the relationship between devotion and wisdom, and how the different practices and performances work within these constructs, especially how they overflow from the performers to embrace all beings. The emanations of the exalted Buddha through the forms of loving male and female bodhisattvas and the transformations of the awesomely male Vedic deities like Vishnu and Rudra into the loving Krishna / Radha and yogic Shiva / Uma couples changed classical India into a glorious land of wisdom, love and ecstatic art. We will sing and teach and learn more about it all together, the best way to celebrate!

Remarks:
Retreat includes kirtan with Krishna Das, meditation and teachings with Robert Thurman,
yoga with Keli Lalita Reddy, and chanting of Hanuman Chalisas with Nina Rao. Tickets
for Fri and Sat night kirtan might open to public (if space is available) and will go on sale
in October.
