On October 27, 2018 Kirtan Wallah Foundation along with the United Palace and Call and Response Foundation, in a theater filled with people connected through music and the practice of meditation and chanting, presented a wonderful screening of award-winning documentary Mantra – Sounds into Silence in New York City followed by kirtan lead by Krishna Das with opening chant by Nina Rao.
In addition we were so happy to invite 108 guests for the screening as a special free offering. Mantra charts the history, effect and phenomenon of chanting. This is a movie about connection and finding ways to create a more peaceful and loving world together and the evening’s gathering allowed all those who attended to experience the film like never before on a 50-foot screen with surround sound in one of NYC’s most stunning theaters.
