“This is picture of the Maitreya Buddha (the Buddha of the Future) statue in the new temple constructed by Lama Norlha Rinpoche at his center.
The Monlam is a 5 day prayer gathering of Rinpoches, Monks, Nuns and lay people who recite prayers and aspirations for many hours during the day. Mingyur Rinpoche who presided over the Monlam and gave teachings in the morning, is sitting in front of the Beautiful Buddha. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche and Lama Norlha Rinpoche are sitting in the lower right corner of the photo. To Mingyur Rinpoche’s right is a life size photo of His Holiness, the 17th Karmapa, the head of the Kagyu lineage, and to his left is a large photo of HH Tai Situ Rinpoche, the heart son of the (16th) previous Karmapa and the Senior teacher of the 17th, and elder Guru of the Kagyu Lineage.
I sat for the whole Monlam, 5 days of chanting and prayers. It was so wonderful. I will be singing in benefit of the center on August 20, 2016 in this sacred shrine.” ~Krishna Das

The severed-headed form of Vajrayogini is similar to the Indian goddess Chinnamasta , who is recognized by both Hindus and Buddhists.
I saw you at the Maitreya Center when the retreatants received their final empowerments from Tai Situ Rinpoche on September 29th. Both my son and daughter were entering retreat that day. They appreciated your support of KTC and were glad to see you there.
