What began as a simple conversation among kindred spirits has blossomed into a
transformative festival. Last September, nearly a thousand souls came together in Woodstock,
drawn to numerous events that celebrated our shared journey toward awakening.

This year, Awakening will grace us once more with even richer offerings, including a performance by the
world-renowned Krishna Das ~ you will be treated to a short Rhythmic Sound Journey  with Arjun, next Nina will lead kirtan and then everyone joins together for kirtan with Krishna Das.

The pinnacle of  the second-annual Woodstock Community Festival of Awakening is an afternoon at Bearsville Park on Saturday, August 10, from noon to 6:00pm.
There you will find:
·     The Sound Garden Kirtan performers from across the Hudson Valley & beyond will be gathering in spirit, sound &dance.   Master-musician Krishna Das will conclude the afternoon with us.
·     Movement by the Stream will integrate creek sounds with the flow of guided meditation in movement.  We offer, among other modalities, Sufi dance, Qi Gong, various yoga modalities, forms of cleansing, trance, and voice empowerment.
·     Awakening Talks will take place throughout the afternoon, where “Awakening” in its many guises will be explored.  Including earth consciousness, community activism, history, conscious growing and eating, philosophy, and the promise ofWoodstock past and future.
·     The Healing Garden Market with 40 or more vendors offering their services at the forefront of wellness….
